REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care.
  • Proficiency in financial record-keeping, bill paying, and basic bookkeeping tasks.
  • Competence with MS Word and Excel; confidence in learning additional software (Servant Keeper, MailChimp, Google Workspace, Squarespace, and Facebook).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate volunteers and collaborate with diverse groups of people.
  • Experience using digital tools for scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.
  • Keen eye for design and detail in preparing communications and promotional materials.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and support others with compassion.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all church communications, including phone, mail, email, website, and social media.
  • Maintain the church calendar and coordinate scheduling for programs, meetings, and facility rentals.
  • Prepare the weekly bulletin, announcements, and song lyrics; create and send the weekly church email.
  • Maintain church membership database and track records for giving, attendance, and congregational care.
  • Manage financial responsibilities, including:
  • Paying all bills in a timely manner
  • Recording weekly giving and donations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reports
  • Working with the Treasurer to support budgeting and ensure financial accountability
  • Provide administrative support for members facing personal challenges, ensuring appropriate communication and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with church leaders, volunteers, and community partners to support congregational and community needs.
  • Coordinate weekly volunteers (Ushers, Worship Leaders, Counters) and provide organizational support for special events (Holiday Fair, seasonal services).
  • Prepare and organize materials for annual reports and other church-wide communications.
  • Support office operations, including ordering supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance, and maintaining records.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support the ministry of the church.
