Carolinas Centers for Sight, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is a growing, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice. Our focus is on excellence in patient care and creating an exceptional customer/patient experience. We are always seeking great people who aren't just searching for a job but looking to make a difference.
We are looking for a part time position. Hours vary depending on doctors’ schedules; Must be available Monday through Friday. Opening and closing shifts rotate.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in patients in an orderly and professional manner.
Scan patients’ insurance cards and driver’s licenses.
Document all patient demographic information.
Collect proper authorizations and/or referrals from patients.
Handle patient check-out processes, including processing charges, collecting fees, and scheduling next appointments.
Monitor past-due accounts and collect payments.
Maintain and balance a personal cash drawer daily.
Evaluate chart data for completeness and accuracy.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid and active Driver’s License.
Reliable transportation.
Previous experience in eye care, or the medical environment is a plus.
