THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced part-time (24 hours per week) Payroll Officer/Administrator to join our Finance team based at head office in Morningside, reporting to the Finance Controller (NZ). You will be working alongside a Payroll Officer to process payroll for approximately 300 employees, ensuring accurate, timely payment and maintaining payroll-related records.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Establish and maintain accurate weekly payroll processing using PayGlobal (end-to-end payroll)
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates/changes.
  • Maintain employee records for new hires, pay changes, and terminations.
  • Review timesheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Prepare end-of-month reporting.
  • Assist in managing and processing Kiwisaver contributions and IRD requirements
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll process and operations.
  • Liaise with and support the HR and Finance team.
  • Back up support for Payroll Officer while on leave.
