Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of their work and is confident running end-to-end payroll.
You’ll be responsible for processing monthly payroll, managing pensions, handling tax submissions, and answering payroll queries. Flexibility is offered around working days and hours, as long as payroll deadlines are met, typically during the third and fourth week of each month.

Responsibilities:

  • Run full end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly-paid employees
  • Manage pensions (including auto-enrolment and re-enrolment)
  • Process P45s, P60s, and P11Ds
  • Maintain HR/payroll systems (e.g., starters, leavers, pay changes)
  • Liaise with managers to ensure accurate payroll data and shift patterns
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from staff and managers
  • Support reporting, improve efficiencies, and streamline data processes
  • Assist with onboarding training relating to payroll self-service

Requirements:

  • Strong end-to-end payroll experience
  • Proficient in Excel (intermediate level or above)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience using HR/payroll systems and T&A platforms
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Strong communicator and approachable team player

Hours: Approx. 16 hours per week – flexible on days/times
