We are an independent specialty pharmacy with a team that is passionate about providing superb patient care. In addition to our “regular” dispensary, we have a non-sterile laboratory catering to anyone who requires compounded medication. We’re seeking a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist to join our 74 Gervais Drive dispensary, located near Don Mills and Eglinton.
If you’re passionate about patient care and eager to expand your clinical skills within a supportive, specialized environment, this is your opportunity! Prior compounding or specialty pharmacy experience is an asset but not a requirement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active and unencumbered Part-A Ontario pharmacy license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Kroll
  • Experience working in a specialty pharmacy environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of non-sterile compounding is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy, appropriateness and completeness of all dispensed prescriptions, including thorough review and verification.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects and drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Foster a positive and welcoming environment through engaging, patient-centered interactions.
  • Manage medication inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Maintain detailed records of medication dispensing, compounding activities and patient interactions
  • Provide direction and leadership to pharmacy staff as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
