Description Position Part Time Pool Server Location Westlake Village Inn Rate $16.50/ Hour Join our team: The Westlake Village Inn is currently hiring pool staff for the season! Applicants for this position must be: Friendly and Outgoing: Being friendly and outgoing is essential in a customer-facing role like this, as you'll be interacting with guests regularly. Conservative in Appearance and Hygiene: This means that the dress code for the position requires a neat, professional, and clean appearance such as: hair neatly pulled back and out of face, no visible tattoos, and no facial piercings. Additional details regarding specific dress code requirements and grooming standards may be provided during the interview or application process. Excellent Customer Service Skills: Courteous and attentive customer service skills are crucial as you'll be responsible for ensuring guests have a positive experience at the spa pool. Communication: Collaborate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient service and relay any guest feedback or issues to the appropriate personnel. Comfortable Outdoors: Spending the entirety of your shift outdoors. This role may require you to be exposed to sun, high temperatures, cold temperatures, and rain. Being able to work in various weather conditions is highly important. Flexible Schedule: Your schedule should be flexible, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is common in the hospitality industry, as these are peak times for customer service. General Responsibilities: · Greeting guests warmly as they arrive at the pool area and assist them in finding suitable seating. · Provide menus and offer recommendations on food and beverage selections. · Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar promptly. · Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner. · Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including clearing empty dishes and drinkware. · Anticipate guest needs and address any concerns or special requests promptly. · Upsell additional items and promote hotel amenities to enhance the guest experience. · Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. · Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery. · Pick up and deliver food and beverage orders promptly and accurately to guests in the pool area, and ensure orders are complete, correct, and meet quality standards. · Being well-versed in the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist guests with any questions they might have and make recommendations when necessary. · Double-check orders before delivering to ensure they match the guest’s requests and are presented in an appealing manner. · Bussing and collecting any dirty dish, used towel, and or trash of any kind. · Maintain the pool area, keeping all facilities clean, replenishing, delivering towels, and moving pool chairs and umbrellas. · Deliver outstanding customer service. · Follow property safety and security procedures. · Any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor. Requirements Desired Skills and Experiences: • At least two years of serving experience required. • Bartending experience preferred. • High School diploma or higher. • Excellent customer service skills. • Excellent communication. • Able to work independently and take direction. • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations. Physical Demands: • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift (up to 8hrs). • Ability to squat and bend. • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
