MedEquipped specializes in providing custom wheelchairs for patients with diverse needs.
We are looking for a Power Wheelchair Technician to service, adjust, and train patients on power wheelchairs

JOB SUMMARY:

The Delivery & Seating Technician will be responsible for assembling, delivering, and servicing power wheelchairs throughout and around atlanta. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, mechanical ability, and strong customer service skills. This person will also train other technicians to gain experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

MUST have at least 2-4 years of hands-on experience with power wheelchairs or some type of similar machinery
Valid driver’s license (required)
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Ability to train others on power wheelchair usage and servicing
Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
Empathetic & patient-focused approach
Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

Service & Adjust Wheelchairs – Deliver, fit, and modify mobility equipment for optimal function and comfort
Deliver & Assemble – Transport and set up mobility devices in homes, schools, and healthcare facilities
Troubleshoot & Repair – Assess and resolve product issues in coordination with the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP)
Warehouse & Vehicle Maintenance – Keep the warehouse and delivery vehicle clean, organized, and safe
Documentation & Compliance – Ensure all client records and paperwork are accurate and up to date
Training & Support – Educate other technicians and teach them how to properly adjust, and service the wheelchairs.
Collaborate with the ATP – Work closely with the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) to ensure clients’ mobility needs are met
