Description Kimberton Whole Foods in Downingtown is seeking a part-time Produce Team Member! Availability: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week. One weekend shift is required each week. Schedule: Sundays 12pm-6:30pm Tuesdays 3:30-8:30pm Thursdays 3:30-8:30pm Hourly Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older. Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked. The Produce Stocker’s Primary Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to all. Receiving and stocking all incoming fresh produce and related items. Rotating fresh produce on a first-in first-out basis. Working in collaboration with the Produce Department head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department. Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the entire department. Understands KWF inventory management practices. Requirements PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers. Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products. Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts. Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas. Standing- prolonged standing. Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting). Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities involve providing exceptional customer service and managing the receiving, stocking, and rotation of all incoming fresh produce using a first-in, first-out method. Team members must also collaborate on maintaining accurate signage and dynamic displays according to established standard operating procedures.
