JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING SPECIALIST (CONTRACTOR/PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS)

As a Professional Learning Consultant, you will be a trusted advisor to schools and districts, delivering dynamic and impactful professional learning experiences. Your expertise in literacy, educational technology, and adult learning will help shape how educators implement Amira to accelerate student growth. You will lead engaging training sessions, coach teachers and administrators, and foster strong relationships to ensure long-term success with our program.
This role collaborates closely with a designated Customer Success Manager to drive adoption, engagement, and measurable impact across districts for a year long pilot for Prince George’s County Public Schools. QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in K-5 education
  • Strong understanding of educational technology and digital learning tools (including AI).
  • Knowledge of the K-12 education sector and familiarity with curriculum standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide data-driven insights.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Strong digital skills and aptitude, including proficiency with computers and basic applications software
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience as a literacy coach and/or instructional coach, providing professional development for adult learners
  • Prior experience as a professional learning consultant at an EdTech company

Responsibilities
  • Deliver successful, engaging, and effective learning experiences that drive product usage and improve student outcomes (in person for 6 Prince George’s County Public Elementary Schools)
  • Support a year-long pilot for Amira Learning’s Assessment and Tutoring products
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Success Manager to understand the intention behind each learning session and customize as needed
  • Provide feedback to the Customer Success Manager
  • Train teachers to become Product Champions on Amira
  • Coordinate training dates, times, and travel with the Success Manager and district partners
  • Communicate with district partners and respond in a timely manner
  • Complete post-training reports/communications within specified timeframes
  • Participate in ongoing internal training of our products
  • Stay abreast of the latest research in the areas of professional development delivery, science of reading, and adult learning theory
  • Partner with customer success and support on customer issues that arise during the customer’s training
