Position Information:
Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. The Faculty of Science and Engineering Technology requires a part-time professor to teach Architectural Drafting and Detailing I (ATAD 1131) in our Architectural Engineering Technology program.
The purpose of this course is to develop the fundamentals of architectural manual drafting, drawings and free-hand sketching and to introduce the student to the design and construction of residential dwellings. The use of instruments, linework, lettering, dimensioning, scale, symbols, layout of drawings and presentation will be emphasized as they relate to construction and renovation of modest homes or other small wood-frame buildings. Students create scale drawings of structures, framing, and connection details.
