Description Position Summary: We are seeking a Part-Time Project Manager to support our Operations Manager with a variety of facilities development and improvement projects. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and moving projects forward related to site development, equipment installation, infrastructure upgrades, and process improvements within an active scrap metal recycling operation across multiple locations in Oregon. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in an industrial environment, and experienced coordinating vendors, contractors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and within scope. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination & Execution · Support planning and execution of facilities development projects (e.g., site improvements, traffic flow changes, equipment installs) · Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables · Assist with permitting, inspections, and coordination with local agencies as needed · Ensure work is completed safely and in alignment with business operations Vendor & Contractor Management · Source, evaluate, and coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers · Obtain and compare quotes, track scopes of work, and support vendor selection · Monitor vendor progress and communicate updates or issues Documentation & Communication · Maintain project documentation, schedules, and status reports · Communicate project progress, risks, and next steps to the Operations Manager · Help identify efficiencies or improvements during project execution Safety & Compliance Support · Ensure vendors and contractors follow company safety rules and site requirements · Support compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards during projects Qualifications & Experience: · Experience in project coordination or project management (industrial, construction, manufacturing, or similar environment preferred) · Comfortable working in an active heavy industrial/manufacturing setting · Experience working with contractors, trades, and equipment vendors · Strong organizational and communication skills · Ability to manage multiple small to mid-size projects simultaneously · Basic understanding of construction, permitting, equipment installation, or site development is a plus · Proficiency with basic project tracking tools (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar) · Ability to read engineering & construction drawings Work Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours based on project needs, min 20 hr/week On-site presence required for active projects (remote work may be limited), so you will need to be located close enough to Eugene, Oregon to commute.
