We are currently looking for a Permanent Part-Time Receptionist to join our current front of house team. This role is a key contributor to the smooth running of the site, as Reception is often the ‘go to’ place for visitors seeking information or assistance. Based at the Visitor Information Desk in the Clubhouse, at the centre of the Museum site, you will be in a fast-paced environment and will individually cover on a rota basis across our seven-day operation. You will be part of the Admissions & Retail Team, reporting to our Admissions & Retail Manager and will play your part to ensure that the Museum consistently provides a high-quality experience to all.
You are the face of the museum for our visitors, and your interactions with our visitors can really make someone’s visit special. With knowledge and enthusiasm you will provide an efficient, warm, friendly and informative customer focussed reception, administration and information service to help us deliver ’an incredible day out’ every day.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar role within a visitor attraction, customer facing or hospitality environment and possess good communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to suit your audience. You will be confident at ‘owning’ a query or issue with the ability to use initiative and common sense to resolve problems in a calm, professional manner, especially when under pressure and multi-tasking in a busy demanding environment.
Working days will be Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 8:00–18:00 , Some flexibility may be required. Please note this is a permanent position.

These are made up of members of the public, Brooklands Members, VIPs, corporate hospitality guests and school groups. The Museum is operational 7 days a week, only closing for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
HOW TO APPLY
Please apply via our recruitment website where you will find the full job description and further information about working at Brooklands Museum. Please submit your CV and a covering letter detailing how your experience could help us in this role and how you meet the requirements of our person specification. Please keep your covering letter to no more than two sides of A4.
The hiring managers will review all applications once the role has closed on the 10th June 2025 and we will be in touch with shortlisted candidates regarding an interview after this date.
