Description

Perfect for university, college or high school students - we are looking for a receptionist to join our team! We are looking for someone to work weeknight evenings and weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
Reporting to the Scheduling Coordinator, the Receptionist will provide the initial face-to-face and telephone contact with visitors, residents and families. The receptionist is responsible for covering employee sick call ins as well as other scheduling needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years customer service experience;
  • One year minimum of office experience preferred;
  • Medical office experience an asset;
  • Attending or Completed Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, e-mail, internet use and computerized documentation;
  • Excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette;

Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors; determine purpose of visit and direct visitor, inform staff;
  • Answer telephone and respond to queries or direct to appropriate staff;
  • Assist scheduling staff to cover sick calls and other shifts following a collective agreement;
  • Complete clerical work including filing and photocopying;
  • Perform daily use of the computer including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Maintains personal accountability for completion of daily tasks as assigned;
  • Promote a positive working environment;
  • Fosters positive customer service with residents and families;
  • Interaction with the public, residents, families and staff on a regular basis.
