Description TITLE: Receptionist, Part Time REPORTS TO: HR Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 4:30pm – 8:30pm JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a reliable and friendly Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team at Logan River Academy. As the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. This position involves managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, handling administrative tasks, and providing general support to residents and staff. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS 1. Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently. 2. Welcome visitors and residents in a warm and courteous manner. 3. Maintain a clean and inviting reception area. 4. Open office, unlock front doors, clean if needed. 5. Log incoming packages, manage incoming/outgoing mail and faxes. 6. Keep the Visit Log up to date and print and distribute the visit list to staff as needed. 7. Complete escort sheets for airport runs and other off-site travel needs. 8. Update the Daily Census daily via email and wall calendar. 9. Assist with admit or discharge of students. 10. Monitor student phone calls. 11. Manage company vehicle usage and checking keys in/out. 12. Manage the receptionist schedule for evening coverage. 13. Update BestNotes (moving to BlueStep) with student school information. 14. Follows all safety regulations and does not hesitate to suggest changes that might improve safety. 10. Pursues continuous professional growth in order to enhance both student and personal performance. 11. Demonstrates an understanding of the LRA Positive Behavior Plan by consistently using it with students. 12. Completes necessary documentation within times specified in policies and procedures. 13. Reviews critical incidents and participates in root-cause analysis as requested by the Compliance Officer. 14. Supports and promotes the LRA values of diversity, equity and inclusion for all staff and students. 15. Greets all visitors, parents and reviewers with a smile and the utmost respect. 16. Models ethical behavior when resolving misunderstandings, disagreements and conflicts. 17. Responds positively to a supervisor's reasonable request to perform other duties. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma/GED. 2. Excellent organizational skills 3. Experience in working with adolescents. 4. Knowledge of human behavior, social interactions, and psychology is beneficial. 5. Strong communication skills. 6. Proficient in telephone, computer, and face-to-face customer service skills. 7. Excellent interpersonal skills with staff and students PHYSICAL DEMANDS Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
