LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join our team as a Part-Time Receptionist in Gainesville, FL . This position is responsible for registering blood donors and providing excellent customer service to all LifeSouth visitors. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to) - Answer incoming telephone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate extension or relay messages - Collect demographic information from donors and enter data into the computer system according to approved guidelines, print Single Donation Records (SDRs) and log donation information on donor registers - Review donor record status reports and resolve registration discrepancies according to established guidelines - Provide the highest level of customer service towards internal and external customers - Greet donors and visitors and direct them to the appropriate area in the facility Qualifications - High school diploma or GED - Ability to work both independently and as a team member - Ability to organize and complete multiple assignments with precision and quick turnaround - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint - Ability to follow moderately complex oral and written instructions - One to three months of related experience preferred - Experience with records management, business telephone systems, data entry and customer service preferred Who We Are LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. This is a part-time position. Starting salary range is $14.50 - $15.95 an hour. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
