Position Summary

We are seeking an exceptional part-time Recruiter to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for identifying and fulfilling staffing needs with high-quality professional consultants who align with our clients’ unique requirements. You will manage the end-to-end recruiting and staffing process, leveraging technology and your recruiting expertise to deliver timely and effective staffing solutions. You must be self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently while maintaining proactive communication with the CEO and candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to post job openings, review resumes, and manage candidate pipelines
  • Conduct initial candidate interviews and assess qualifications thoroughly
  • Schedule and conduct client reference calls
  • Track candidate progress and maintain detailed records in ATS and related dashboards
  • Communicate proactively with the CEO and candidates to ensure smooth staffing operations without delays
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with team members as needed
  • Ensure timely collection of necessary HR documentation (W9, I-9, insurance for 1099 contractors) and conduct background checks when required
  • Onboard new hires and conduct 30-60-90 day check-ins
  • Evaluate resumes and cross-reference candidate information using LinkedIn, social media, and other platforms
  • Manage multiple candidates and urgent inquiries effectively during peak periods
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting and onboarding processes

Who You Are

  • Passionate about recruiting and representing a small business driving transformational change
  • Highly independent, organized, and efficient with excellent time management skills
  • Tech-savvy with experience in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter/Navigator, Google Workspace, Zoom/MS Teams
  • Skilled interviewer and active listener able to detect red flags and identify exceptional talent
  • Capable of multitasking and managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Trust your intuition while conducting thorough due diligence on candidates
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to follow established processes and suggest improvements
  • Strong communicator who ensures transparency and timely updates to all stakeholders
  • Preferably based in California or Bay Area to align with client geographic needs and time zone

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with ATS systems (Hiring Thing preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter and Navigator
  • Proficient in resume evaluation and cross-referencing candidate info across social media
  • Ability to confirm and manage HR forms (W9, I-9), insurance, and background checks
  • Experience onboarding and conducting follow-up check-ins with new hires
  • Comfortable making calls from your cell phone and managing voicemail and text communications
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, MS Teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Zoom breakout rooms
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Mural or Miro
  • Willingness to learn new systems and tools quickly

Work Schedule & Location

  • Flexible hours between Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm PST

  • Must be available during core business hours for communication with CEO and candidates

  • Remote position, US-based candidates only, strong preference for Bay Area or California residents

Compensation

  • $25-$35 per hour based on HR education and relevant recruiting experience

  • Complete two skills tests by August 15th:
  1. ATS system test involving job posting creation, resume review, and application tracking with a 5-minute recorded video explanation

  2. Candidate evaluation exercise with a 3-5 minute Loom video explaining your top candidate choices and thought process

  • Selected candidates will be asked to provide HR degrees, certifications, and at least one client/employer reference related to recruiting/staffing
