For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist with a research project that focuses on developing an AI-powered, interactive, gamified metaverse for translation technology. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Creating an AI-powered interactive and gamified metaverse for learning translation technology, including creation of AI tutor and AI translator, metaverse integration, UX/UI design, RAG training, etc.; Providing assistance in project coordination, platform testing and fine-tuning; and Performing any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A bachelor’s degree (research assistant II) or master’s degree (research assistant I) in computer science or a related discipline; Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++; Strong experience with AI, ML, NLP, and/or translation technologies; Proven experience in developing AI-powered applications or tools; Experience with 3D graphics and development of online language education tools is highly desirable; Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, and able to meet deadlines and work independently.
