For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist the Prof. Derwin Chan in the research projects related to physical activity, health psychology, and health education. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Delivering and coordinating mental health workshops at schools or other health settings; Conducting questionnaire survey and interviews; Data entry and/or transcribing interview data; Providing support in literature review and data analysis; Writing academic reports; Assisting the Principal Investigator and Co-investigators to prepare experiments; Liaising with academic staff, student helpers, schools/ NGOs, and other relevant parties; Providing ad hoc research duties on some weekends/public holidays/weekday evenings; and Performing any other duties as assigned to support the operation of the research projects. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised degree in psychology, social sciences, sports sciences, or health-related subjects; Appointee in the rank of Research Assistant I should hold at least a Master degree in relevant subjects Experience in carrying out quantitative and qualitative research; Competence in computer skills (MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint, and other data analytical software); Detail-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated; A high level of English and Chinese (Cantonese) proficiency and effective communication and organisation skills; Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet multiple deadlines; and Candidates who have experience in academic writing and publishing scientific papers are highly suitable for the position. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
