We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Echoes of Infinity: Bridging Art and Science through Interdisciplinary Narratives of a Lecture Performance Inspired by the Shepard Tone”. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Offering assistance in literature review and data analysis; Aiding in corpus construction, data cleaning, and metadata creation using tools like OCR, ArcGIS, Tableau, and Cytoscape; Supporting in interview facilitation; and Undertaking additional research tasks as directed by the Principal Investigator. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Geography, Geospatial Sciences, or any related field; Proficiency in utilizing digital tools like OCR, ArcGIS, Tableau, and Cytoscape is highly advantageous; Prior research experience in Digital Humanities is desirable; Demonstrated attributes include a strong sense of responsibility, effective organizational abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills; and Fluency in both English and Chinese languages is essential. ​​​​​​​ Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Payment will be made on hourly basis. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions. Candidate will work not more than 17 hours per week for the period between October 2025 and April 2026.
