Description
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; (ii) proficiency in programming languages such as C++/ Python/Java/ and other related languages; (iii) familiarity with various robotic hardware systems, sensors, and actuators; (iv) the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; (v) excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; and (vi) strong communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants will play a critical role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of surgical robotic systems. Applicants will work closely with research teams to ensure the successful integration and operation of robotics technologies. Duties include (a) collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and understand the specific needs and requirements of different projects; (b) designing, developing, and programming robotic systems to meet project objectives; (c) monitoring and analysing robot performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary adjustments; (d) providing technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders on robotics-related matters; and (e) keeping up-to-date with advancements in robotics technology and identifying opportunities for innovation within the organisation. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
