We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will mainly assist in a research project related to aging, cultural studies and psychological studies (UGC/IIDS16/H01/25). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the follows: conducting preliminary research of the research project; data collection, such as developing questionnaires and conducting interviews; data analyses, and exploration of ways of data archive; conducting workshops and symposium; providing assistance in writing papers/reports/publication; providing support to the research team, coordination and liaison with internal and external parties at various levels, and performing other duties as assigned. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: Have a post-graduate degree (preferably with PhD degree) in social sciences, community arts, and social well-being-related studies; Have at least 5 years of experience working for NGOs or social/community projects, Have years of experience co-ordinating events, social projects, and conferences, has liaison capacity, and competent social and communication skills. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time fixed term contract and work of no more than 17 hours per week. Payment will be made on an hourly basis (based on actual work done). Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions. The position is a one-year contract in a part-time capacity, with flexible hours under the supervision of the Project Investigator.
