JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College of Agricultural Sciences, Fruit Research and Extension Center, program “Tree Fruit Production and Physiology” located in Biglerville, PA seeks to hire an individual to fill a part-time position. The position requires flexible number of hours per week, ranging from 10 to 25 hours depending on the workload. Beginning early September 2025 through December 2025 ( maximum 16 weeks ). Duties could include tasks related to but not limited to purchasing laboratory and field material, setting up the laboratory space, building small equipment, organizing/cleaning existing material and research space, collecting research samples, imputing data, cataloging samples, grading/analyzing fruit from harvest and storage. The candidate will carry out most of the work indoors in the research labs and outdoors in Biglerville (PA) orchards, and surrounding areas. The candidate needs to demonstrate ability in working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Moreover, precision, care for details and excellent communication skills are required.
