This position involves providing assistance, resources, and advocacy to residents, empowering them to live independently and thrive. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Supervisory experience preferred. 2-3 years of experience in social service delivery with elderly or family populations. Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and support services. Strong advocacy, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer software. Customer service-oriented approach. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Valid driver’s license. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Resident Support: Provide individual and group support to residents, addressing their needs and concerns. Connect residents with appropriate community resources and services. Assist residents with accessing benefits and programs. Advocate for residents' rights and interests. Community Building: Organize and facilitate community events and activities. Foster a sense of community and belonging among residents. Assist residents in building informal support networks. Program Development: Develop and implement educational and wellness programs for residents. Conduct needs assessments and identify program opportunities. Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements. Community Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations. Collaborate with community partners to provide resources and support to residents. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate resident records and documentation. Prepare reports and statistics as required. Coordinate with property management and other staff. Complete ongoing required training. Working Conditions The Resident Service Coordinator works primarily in an office environment with frequent interactions with residents. The position may require occasional evening or weekend work for events or meetings.
