Description Department: Elati Village FLSA Exemption Status: non-exempt Location: Denver, CO Supervisor: Residential Program Manager Position Overview: The Resource Navigator position involves supporting residents and team members in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment at a 24-hour transitional housing site. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, managing resources, and aiding residents. This position is essential for fostering community cohesion and ensuring smooth shelter operations. Core Accountabilities: Use cultural humility and trauma-informed care when interacting with Elati Village residents, team members, and community partners. Create and lead programs and activities that engage residents, promoting their participation and collaboration. Support members’ individual well-being and personal growth through development of practical skills in alignment with their personal goals. Connect clients to necessary resources, offering support to stabilize housing and help them progress according to their case management plan. Maintain a physically and psychologically safe environment for members, with a strong emphasis on accountability, confidentiality, and trauma informed site management. Stay informed about Elati Village programs and community resources to make appropriate referrals, ensuring a well-rounded approach to support. Work to reduce barriers that may prevent access to services, advocating for residents when necessary. Regularly interact with community partners and agencies to ensure smooth delivery of services. Participate in team meetings and case discussions to coordinate care and services effectively. Collaborate with case managers to implement personalized action plans for members. Complete all program documentation and data entry on time to meet organizational standards and reporting requirements. Light housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe shelter environment. Proactively engage in de-escalation, crisis prevention, and crisis mitigation. Lived experience of homelessness, housing instability, or poverty a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with diverse populations. Current knowledge of, or willingness to learn, how to operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a copy machine or printer, and office software, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other programs.
