Career Progression Qualified candidates will be placed into the appropriate level based on experience: CRT: $24.66 – $42.57 RRT: $27.08 – $46.81 Senior RRT: $29.05 – $50.28 Your Responsibilities Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. Operate and manage mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration devices, and aerosol generators. Perform pulmonary function tests and assist patients with bronchopulmonary drainage and breathing exercises. Monitor vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry to optimize patient outcomes. Assist in mechanically ventilated patient transport and respond to all code situations. Interpret clinical data to evaluate medical orders and ensure appropriate treatment. Educate and supervise students and healthcare personnel on respiratory care procedures. Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required. Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required prior to expiration of temporary practice permit Respiratory therapists who receive their CRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC requirements Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) Osteopathic Respiratory Care Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
