We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and customer-focused team member with proven sales experience in a fast-paced retail or visitor attraction setting. Camera Obscura & World of Illusions is a VisitScotland 5-Star rated attraction featuring interactive exhibitions, Camera Obscura demonstrations, Rooftop Terrace with incredible views and gift shop. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service in our gift shop. Responsibilities include operating tills, cash handling, restocking and merchandising products, managing deliveries, assisting in stocktakes, and fostering a positive, professional team environment.

We are looking for individuals who bring energy, professionalism, and a proactive approach to their work. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• A warm, outgoing, and helpful personality, with a strong commitment to delivering five star customer service.
• Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to show initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear and articulate spoken English.
• Previous experience in a retail or tourism-related role (essential).
• Good local knowledge of Edinburgh.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays as part of a regular schedule.
