Golf Pride, the #1 golf grip brand worldwide is looking to strengthen our consumer experience at our Global Innovation Center by hiring a Part Time Associate Technician in the Retail Lab, the first ever Tour Authentic Grip Experience for consumers. Under direct supervision of the Retail Lab Leader, the Associate Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional service to consumers visiting the GIC and Retail Lab as well as providing support in various capacities to the Retail Lab Leader. The associate retail tech will assist with the consumer grip selection process, grip installation, and other tasks to support the Retail Lab experience. This role is almost entirely consumer-facing and likely the very first impression of Golf Pride. The expected hourly pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline only. Pay rate is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Support Golf Pride's overall consumer experience needs, including phone calls, in-person interactions, GIC visitor support, and other tasks as assigned that may fall outside the scope of this job description. Ensure Retail Lab and surrounding consumer experience areas are always clean and presentable. Contribute to grip install efficiency: tasks including but not limited to, removing grips and tape, install new tape and grip, restocking supplies, and assisting customer service needs. Provide grip size and model recommendations according to consumers' needs. Support workflows for all services to achieve quoted turn-around times to meet consumers' needs. Uphold company standards for merchandising and product presentation to meet the standards of the best golf grip brand in the industry. Assist with inventory restock, counts and movements. Perform occasional opening and/or closing duties for the Retail Lab, ensuring readiness for daily operations and proper end-of-day procedures. Process various retail transactions, such as returns, discounts and general transactions. Follow procedures and processes for consumer interactions, club intake information and regripping process. Address customer concerns and resolve them promptly to the customer's satisfaction. Maintaining the Retail Lab and surrounding area in a clean, professional presentation at all times. Willing to learn and adhere to evolving processes and procedures implemented by the Retail Lab Leader. A brand ambassador, confident and professional when interacting with consumers, and able to deliver premium experiences that reflect Golf Pride's leadership in the game. Curious by nature, with a passion for uncovering insights others might miss - whether from a golf swing, a grip, or a conversation. A golfer, with an authentic appreciation for golf and its people - someone who understands players because you are one. HS Diploma/GED Moderate to advanced knowledge of golf and golf club repair services. 1+ year of retail experience Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future. No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of Pinehurst, NC (28374) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 2 years of work experience within consumer products industry. Basic understanding of swing mechanics, club fitting and product knowledge paired with golf skills, knowledge, and terminology. 1 year of golf retail sales experience. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. High energy for interacting with consumers in multiple scenarios.
