Job Summary :

Are you an aspiring educator, tech enthusiast, or science student looking for a rewarding summer role? [Insert Academy Name] is a specialized small academy dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators. We are seeking energetic STEM Robotics Assistant Instructors to support our hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math programs. Operating both half-day and full-day enrollment tracks, you will help lead teachers deliver highly engaging, project-based learning experiences to curiosity-driven kids

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate STEM Lessons: Assist the Lead Instructor in delivering hands-on projects involving robotics, coding, science experiments, or engineering builds.
  • Support Flexible Enrollments: Seamlessly manage daily transitions for campers arriving or departing during half-day shifts (morning vs. afternoon tracks) and full-day programs.
  • Teach Python Coding: Introduce campers to basic programming concepts through fun, age-appropriate projects.
  • Lead Minecraft Activities: Guide strategic gameplay, host building challenges, or teach modding principles.
  • Set Up & Tech Maintenance: Prepare, test, and organize specialized STEM materials, software platforms, laptops, and lab equipment daily.
  • Small Group Mentorship: Provide direct, enthusiastic guidance to small teams of campers to troubleshoot technical issues and encourage critical thinking.
  • Supervise & Ensure Safety: Maintain close supervision during lessons, outdoor/recreational breaks, lunch hours, and extended drop-off/pick-up times.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Youth Experience: Prior experience guiding children in camps, tutoring centers, schools, or recreational settings is a major asset.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptionally patient, detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of explaining complex ideas in simple, fun ways.
  • Certifications: Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certificate (or willingness to obtain before camp starts).
  • Background Check: Must pass a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
