Animaltastic Pets and Pet Supplies is a unique local pet shop that has been serving the community since June 21, 2010. Our mission is to provide a diverse selection of pets and high-quality products while sharing invaluable knowledge to ensure the best care for both domestic and exotic animals.

SUMMARY

As a Caregiver at Animaltastic Pets, you will play a vital role in the well-being of our animals. Your responsibilities will include providing daily care, ensuring proper feeding, and maintaining clean living environments for our pets. This position is essential in helping us deliver exceptional service to our customers.

REQUIREMENTS

• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
• Previous experience in animal care or working towards a Level 2 Animal Care qualification or higher.
• Previous sales/retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment within time frames and required standards of care.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
• Availability for weekend shifts. An advantage would be to be able to cover a certain number of weekday shifts as holiday cover and gaps in the rota.

Experience:

• Professional Animal Care : 2 years (preferred)
• Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)

• Provide daily care for a variety of pets, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
• Maintain clean and safe living environments for all animals in the store.
• Monitor the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to management.
• Assist customers with inquiries about pet care and products.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of animal care.
• Support the team in maintaining inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
