OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales processes, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively and demonstrate strong communication skills and a passion for retail. The ideal candidate will be available to work at short notice, primarily on alternate Saturdays with availability for holiday coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour, with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a retail setting.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and cash management.
• A team player who is also self-motivated and able to work independently when required.

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Provide detailed product knowledge to customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
• Assist in maintaining the visual merchandising standards of the store, ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.
• Participate in inventory management tasks, including stock replenishment and organization of merchandise.
• Clean and maintain the shop environment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Perform filing and organizational tasks as needed.
• Handle any additional duties as required to support the daily operations of the shop.
