OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our friendly and passionate team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, confidence in engaging with customers, and the ability to talk knowledgeably about cheese and wine. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in creating an enjoyable shopping experience, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in speaking about cheese and wine to customers.
  • Previous retail or food/wine sales experience is an asset but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage stock and maintain store presentation.
  • Proficiency in POS systems is a plus.
  • Proactive approach to upselling and customer engagement.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $19.00 per hour
    Expected Hours: 8 – 16 per week

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability during December (holiday season is essential)
  • Must be available for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter
  • Ability to work every weekend and holidays
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding cheeses, wines, and other products that suit their tastes and needs.
  • Confidently discuss product features, origins, and pairings, particularly with cheese and wine.
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash transactions with care, following proper cash-handling procedures.
  • Keep the sales floor organized, ensuring products are well-stocked and attractively displayed.
  • Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
  • Upsell additional products or pairings based on customer preferences.
  • Provide excellent customer service over the phone for inquiries or orders.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high customer satisfaction.
