Geek Retreat is on a mission to celebrate all things geeky—from games and superhero movies to anime and sci-fi. Our growing network of gaming cafés and stores across the UK are the friendliest places to meet, eat, trade, and play.
We’re currently recruiting part-time Sales and Kitchen Assistants for our Blackburn store. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that blends retail, hospitality, and all things geek culture into one awesome experience.
Note: Applicants MUST include a cover letter to be considered Applicants must have weekday AND weekend flexibility

Responsibilities Include:

• Serving and assisting customers with a welcoming attitude
• Meeting sales targets and driving in-store performance
• Preparing and cooking food to order
• Supporting and contributing to social media content creation
• Helping plan, set up, and run events and tournaments
• Maintaining basic cleaning and hygiene standards for the store

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proven hospitality and/or retail experience
• Positive, proactive work ethic
• Understanding of trading card games and/or tabletop games
• A genuine love of geek culture (think movies, TV, games, comics)
• Comfortable using social media or willing to learn
• DBS certification (preferred, not required)

• Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
• Hours: 5 per week
• Pay: £7.55–£12.21 per hour
• Additional Pay: Overtime
