The Transportation Assistant supports afternoon bus dismissal, answers the phone, supports our office staff and troubleshoots any concerns with evening student transportation. Responsibilities: Answer the phones and be able to respond to common questions related to the school Provide coverage for other Transportation Assistants in the event of an absence Provide the Registrar & Office Manager with the completion of administrative tasks such as (filing, data entry, records maintenance, making copies, and scanning documents) Effectively, use the schools Student Information System and Transportation Software to support with ensuring students safely arrive home each day Manage Transportation email inbox Clearly communicate with vendor’s transportation staff using a two-way radio to support with troubleshooting common bus issues Call parents to arrange student’s being picked up from the school and wait with students until they are picked up Ability to remain calm under high pressure situations High School Diploma 5+ years of work in an office setting Proven Customer Service Ability Type 30+ words per minute Basic Computer Program Competency As an equal opportunity employer, Empowerment Academy hires without consideration to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability.
