Tutor Doctor is looking for experienced SEN Teachers (Primary & Secondary) who can support our students in the Solihull area. We offer our Tutors highly rewarding assignments which are challenging and fulfilling whilst providing flexibility and professional support to ensure your success. We offer a minimum of 10 hours work per week Monday to Friday. This can be extended up to 25 hours per week if you wanted. We can also schedule your work around your commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Our ideal Tutors:

  • Are experienced in working with SEN students
  • Must be a qualified primary or secondary school teacher with 2+ years experience.
  • Have a good working knowledge of how to work with SEN students
  • Care about helping their students improve and achieve academically.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Are flexible, organised and reliable.
  • Have their own transport and are happy to work in students’ homes.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated success in a Teaching or Tutoring role.
  • Ideally have QTS
  • Passionate about helping students and young people grow and achieve.
  • Outstanding record of academic achievement.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of all young people.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Passionate about coaching and mentoring others.
  • DBS certification.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Delivering personalised 1:1 tution in the Solihull area.
  • Preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet the student’s SEN requirements - particularly ADHD and ASC/ASD.
  • Develop individual curriculum for students.
  • Clarifying and teaching subject matter.
  • Assessing and reporting on students’ knowledge on a regular basis.
  • Being a mentor to students.
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of the students you work with.
