We’re looking for a hands-on SEO Specialist to optimize our website based on a recent comprehensive SEO audit. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in technical SEO, content strategy, on-page optimization, backlink management, and performance measurement. The goal is to increase organic traffic, improve rankings for targeted keywords in data quality and related niches, and ultimately contribute to revenue growth through better SEO practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical SEO Optimization: Analyze and improve Core Web Vitals, particularly mobile performance (e.g., reducing LCP times and eliminating unused JavaScript). Ensure sitemap, robots.txt, and overall site health are maintained using tools like Google Lighthouse and Screaming Frog.
• UX and Conversion Enhancements: Streamline blog categorization and navigation to align with user personas (e.g., Data Stewards, Ops Optimisers, Economic Buyers). Implement multi-level navigation structures while preserving existing URL structures to avoid traffic loss. Add prominent CTAs, content-width interruptors, and sticky banners to guide users through conversion funnels, and conduct A/B testing on high-traffic pages like pricing, data matching, and cleansing.
• EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) Improvements: Develop author pages with bios, images, LinkedIn links, and content lists. Diversify authorship by sourcing internal experts, SMEs via platforms like HARO or LinkedIn, and adding “reviewed by” elements. Remove ineffective CTAs from non-conversion pages.
• Backlink Profile Management: Audit and disavow toxic backlinks (e.g., from directories and link farms). Build high-authority links through niche edits via reputable services. Diversify anchor text (branded, money, compound) and aim for 2-3 links per domain to create a natural, keyword-rich profile.
• Keyword and Content Strategy: Conduct keyword research focusing on a balanced mix of long-tail, informational, commercial, and transactional queries (targeting 60/40 organic vs. PAA split). Develop persona-based content clusters tied to pain points like duplicate data, manual cleansing, CRM hygiene, ROI, and data governance. Analyze SERPs for related searches, FAQs, and competitor gaps (e.g., vs. Data Ladder, Profisee, Validity). Re-optimize near-win articles (positions 4-20) and create problem-first, empathetic content with varying technical depth.
• Content Process Refinement: Establish a structured content calendar, briefing process, and standards for SEO content. Integrate customer insights from sales/support calls into planning, ensuring content aligns with funnel stages, buyer personas, and a 4-quadrant matrix (relevance, topical authority, difficulty, popularity).
• Measurement and Optimization: Set up full-funnel reporting combining SEO metrics (impressions, CTR, rankings), HubSpot data, and sales insights. Track KPIs across journey stages (e.g., visitors, MQLs, deals) to achieve goals like 4 deals per month from SEO. Optimize for higher CTR and conversion rates, moving away from zero-click searches.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work with content teams to maintain a publishing cadence of 2-3 posts/month (with potential increases). Provide regular reports on progress, including traffic growth, ranking improvements, and ROI from SEO efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in B2B SaaS or tech industries.
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and A/B testing platforms (e.g., Google Optimize).
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page elements, backlink strategies, and EEAT principles.
• Experience with content strategy, keyword research, and SERP analysis.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
