Description RockCreek Seafood & Spirits in Seattle is looking to hire seasonal wait & bar staff. Please note: This is a seasonal position. We expect the employment to range from approximately Spring through mid September. This is dependent upon the flow of the season and has the potential to convert to part-time variable hour employment if it is available post season. We currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and career-minded individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of steps of service and table maintenance. Looking for those who are dedicated and truly enjoy the service industry. This position offer sick pay, employee discounts for dining, EAP, and an employee referral bonus. Wait & Bar Staff participate in a daily FOH tip pool, as well as tip sharing, more commonly referred to as tipping-out. Tip pool policy exists per day for the entire FOH bar and wait staff team. The FOH team tips out the kitchen and support staffed based on our tip sharing policy. Wage Range and Benefits Hourly Wage is minimum wage (currently $21.30/hour), plus tips (based on our tip pooling and tip sharing policy). Sick pay is awarded at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. All PSSL is accrued and available for use in accordance with Washington State and local laws. Employee receives 5 designated unpaid days off - Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and the 4th of July (or observed). Medical, Dental, and Vision plan election available after 6-month lookback period if eligible based on hours worked (average of 30/week). Employer pays 50% of employee only medical coverage. Dependent/family coverage is available at full cost to the employee. Employee Assistance Program provided upon hire at no cost to employee. 50% Employee discount provided, for up to three additional guests if dining with you. Work floor while maintaining service standards. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant. Enjoys food, wine, and spirit education. Understands service standards and attention to detail. Clean work habits and personal grooming. Resourceful and well organized. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Maintains knowledge of recipes, steps of service, policies, and procedures. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers. Self-motivated and punctual.
Responsibilities
The role involves serving and bartending duties in a seasonal capacity, requiring adherence to established steps of service and maintaining high service standards. Staff will participate in daily Front of House tip pooling and tip sharing with kitchen and support staff.
