Position: Part-time Showroom Greeter Department: Dorchester Sales Reports to: Store Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt Last updated: 12/2023 The Retail Showroom Greeter will be reporting to our Dorchester location and is responsible for ensuring all customers have a timely and professional welcome into the showroom and acts as an advocate for the customer. Schedule: Monday 9:00am-5:00pm Responsibilities and Duties * Greet customers as they enter the showroom * Provide a prompt response to all customer inquiries. * Assist all associates in providing customers with an “EXCELLENT” sales experience * Assure all customers are logged after they are introduced to a Sales Associate * Ensure that customers are directed to the proper associate for assistance * Extend the highest level of courtesy and friendliness to every customer * Inspect the showroom and waiting areas frequently to ensure cleanliness * Provide relief for receptionist and customer service persons during lunch, breaks and absences to include processing cash and credit sales and answering phones * Assist with promotional work as needed Qualifications and Skills * Experience providing excellent customer service preferably face to face * Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written * Strong organizational and follow-up skills * Ability to work independently and within a team * Proven organizational, negotiation, and analytical problem-solving skills. * MUST have pleasant demeanor, excellent customer service skills and professional image * Professional appearance a MUST Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: * Office environment * Periods of computer usage and data entry * Prolonged periods of sitting
