Transylvania University is in search of a dynamic and compassionate professional to serve as a part- time mental health counselor (20 hours a week from September until end of May). This role is crucial in supporting the holistic well-being of our students. The ideal candidate will be a licensed mental health professional with a strong background in health promotion, prevention programming, and inclusive outreach strategies. Counseling & Student Support Services Provide short-term individual therapy and psycho-education to students facing emotional, academic, or interpersonal challenges. Conduct intake assessments and create treatment plans with appropriate referrals when needed, including to off-campus providers. Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation by professional standards and legal requirements. Master’s degree required (Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, Health Education, or a related field) and Licensure (or license eligibility) as a counselor, social worker, or mental health professional in Kentucky.
