PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Candidates with experience (academic or non-academic) in photography, videography, social media, or communications are highly preferred. Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience using a DSLR or mirrorless camera in manual mode .
  • Proficiency in Adobe editing software , including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact positively with patrons and employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS

  • Work will take place on the University Park campus.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a background check.This role requires flexibility to accommodate a variable schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and University breaks.

Responsibilities
  • Photography & Videography
  • Capture high-quality images and video content that align with Campus Recreation’s marketing goals and branding guidelines.
  • Attend events and programs to document student engagement and facility usage.
  • Edit and prepare photos and videos for social media, promotional materials, and digital platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in visual content to support a cohesive brand identity.
  • Content Curation & Collaboration
  • Assist in curating and organizing visual assets for marketing and promotional use.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, including the Project Coordinator and Assistant Director, to fulfill creative requests.
  • Coordinate photography schedules, shot lists, and production details with team members.
  • Professionalism & Engagement
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Campus Recreation, both on and off the job.
  • Maintain open and frequent communication with the supervisory team.
  • Positively engage with patrons and staff while representing Campus Recreation in diverse settings.
