For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee shall mainly assist the research team in the research project “Echoes of the Past: Reconstructing Vanished Soundscapes in Hong Kong through Archaeoacoustics” (R6675). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Assisting in field recording, soundwalks, and other research-related audio activities; Handling recording equipment setup, data organization, and basic sound editing; Documenting and reporting field activities; and Performing any other ad hoc duties as assigned. Candidates Candidate should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: Full-time undergraduate student of the University and preferably with training in Creative Arts; Basic knowledge of sound recording or audio editing software (Handling Recording Device, Pro tools, Ableton Live, etc.); Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in outdoor or field environments; Good interpersonal and communication skills; and Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Duration of Appointment The appointee will be required to work for the period from January 2026 to August 2026. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract and is expected to work no more than 17 hours per week at a rate of HK$75 per hour.
