We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology: Major Duties and Responsibilities (1) Peer Tutor and Mentor The appointees will be responsible mainly for the following: Playing the role of peer tutors / mentors in full-time face-to-face courses under supervision of academic staff; Providing individual or small groups tutoring in the presence of academic instructors during laboratory and tutorial sessions; and Involving in courses taken by students in the Electronic Engineering and Computer Science programmes. (2) Student Assistant The appointees will be responsible mainly for the following: Assisting the Department of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science in event organization, promotion, documentation, website maintenance, and other clerical duties. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: (1) Peer Tutor and Mentor Candidates should normally be students studying in a full-time face-to-face programme offered by the Department of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at HKMU; Good academic performance; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and Encouraging and empathetic of other students. (2) Student Assistant Candidates should normally be students studying in a full-time face-to-face programme offered by the Department of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at HKMU; Knowledge or experience in website / server maintenance, social media authoring, video production, or event coordination is preferred. Remuneration HK$75 per hour Duration of Appointment A maximum of 16 hours per week during daytime for the period from late February 2026 to 31 August 2026.
