Description North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates- Tupelo is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Technician to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to our patients. Our mission is simple—the patient always comes first, and that commitment guides every aspect of our practice. This is a part-time position (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a surgical or dental environment and enjoys working collaboratively in a patient-centered setting. Responsibilities Assist the Oral Surgeon during a variety of surgical procedures, including tooth extractions, dental implants, and bone grafting. Accurately record doctor notes, vital signs, and procedural details throughout surgeries. Prepare and maintain sterile treatment rooms, ensuring instruments and equipment are properly sanitized and organized. Capture high-quality dental x-rays and review patient health histories in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Provide patients with clear post-operative care instructions to ensure comfort and promote recovery. Support clinical operations through the use of practice management software and assist with daily administrative or clinical tasks as needed. Uphold the highest standards of infection control, safety, and professionalism at all times. Requirements Must have prior oral surgery or dental clinical experience. 1+ years of experience in a surgical setting—oral, dental, outpatient, or hospital preferred. Certification or Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or Dental Assisting preferred. Current CPR certification and strong knowledge of sterile technique required. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Compassionate, team-oriented, and committed to patient care and clinical excellence.
