UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for a Part-Time Teacher of German for our Home Languages Programme (HLP) from September 202 4 (negotiable).
The Home Languages Programme is for students who want to maintain a language spoken at home but who do not study this language as part of the academic curriculum during the school day at appropriate level. This programme offers students the opportunity to gain cultural understanding of the language, as well as improve their linguistic skills to gain a ge appropriate fluency in their home language.
The students’ ag es are from 4 to 1 6 y ea rs o ld. Classes are taught in small groups of 3 to 6 students of similar ages and linguistic levels and will take place after school (or at lunchtime for some younger students).

• Plan, prepare and teach classes as required.
• Exhibit good classroom management skills.
• Use digital resources to enhance students’ learning.
• Provide samples of students’ learning in the school online learning platform for parents to follow students’ progress.
• Provide feedback to parents, if required.
• ​Collaborate with the other teachers of the German Language Department in developing a German Language Curriculum.
