Part-time Teacher

Scholars of West Vancouver is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic part-time language and math teachers to join our team. As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• BC certified teachers are preferred
• Candidates in Teachers College or university designation towards math and sciences are also encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience working with students is an asset.
• Excellent English oral and written skills.
• A passion to help students reach their potential.
• Exceptionally organized and high attention to detail.
• Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students.

Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation below.

• Monday - Thursday, 3:00 - 8:00 pm

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• West Vancouver, BC V7T 1A1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
