We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following: Assisting in course planning and development as well as participating in School / University activities; Assisting the Student Advising Coordinators to provide academic advising; Addressing the academic and cultural needs of non-local students; Conducting regular meeting with students; Providing tutorial, laboratory, and field-based teaching support during the specified working hours (weekday nights and weekends); and Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Science and Technology or their nominee(s). Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: Holder of Master degree, preferably a doctoral degree in Education, Counselling, Science and Technology, Management, Social Science or any relevant discipline; Relevant experience in student advising, preferably with Mainland students; Preferably with good understanding and experience in the academic and cultural needs of Mainland students; Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and interpersonal skills; and A good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
