At Sense Education, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed. We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where children with SEN can reach their full potential. By joining us, you will be part of a team that makes a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
THE IDEAL PERSON:
We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about working with children with special educational needs but also possesses the following qualifications and skills:
- - A teaching assistant qualification, childcare qualification, or early years qualification
- - Experience in a similar role, particularly with managing challenging behaviours and supporting children with SEN
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- - An empathetic, proactive, and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs
- - A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new strategies and techniques

- - A positive attitude and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN
As a Part Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting SEN pupils in a mainstream school setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- - Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- - Assisting in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- - Supporting classroom teachers in managing challenging behaviours and promoting a positive learning environment
- - Encouraging social and emotional development through engaging activities and tailored support
- - Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
