The Basics of a Teller: Located at 6318 Callaghan Road, San Antonio, TX 78229 Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. What you'll do as a Teller: In the Teller role, you are the face of the credit union. You will create a top-tier experience for our members by processing transactions, building relationships, and educating members on products and services that support their financial needs. Key Responsibilities: Create exceptional member experiences in the branch, drive-thru, and over the phone. Learn and maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures. Process member transactions, including payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers. Sell money orders, stamps, cashier’s checks, and gift cards. Redeem savings bonds. Balance your assigned cash drawer daily. Process address changes, check orders, and foreign currency orders. Create debit cards for members. Assist members with accessing their safe deposit boxes. Complete branch opening and end-of-day procedures. Actively participate in volunteer events through our Greater Good program. Support risk mitigation by: Following established security protocols. Complying with BSA/AML policies and completing required training within 90 days and annually thereafter. Complete compliance and development training as assigned. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Must Haves as a Teller: Skills: Customer Service, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, Tech Literacy. Experience: 1 year + experience in a customer-centric role. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Nice to Haves as a Teller: Experience: 6+ months of cash handling is strongly preferred. Bilingual in Spanish & English.
