We are looking for an enthusiastic part time Office Assistant at our main office in downtown Portland. This role will provide administrative support and requires a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, paired with accuracy and flexibility. This position will require you to work during our Tax Deadline (January 8th- April 15th, 2026) and will work about 20+ hours a week. The successful candidate will be very detail oriented, able to learn the work that we do, and comfortable working independently or with a team. This is a part-time/temporary in-office position. Requirements What you'll be doing Provide back-up clerical support to executive assistants as needed including scanning, filing, data entry & other ad hoc projects and tasks Download/scan client workpapers; upload to virtual file room. Scan client documents for verification to our online software portal. What makes you a fit High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and experience working in a professional environment. 2+ years in an administrative support role. Strong computer skills, comfortable working in a Windows environment and learning new software. Must have intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Adobe Acrobat). Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment, and able to balance competing priorities with ease and grace. Proactive, receptive to feedback and able to solve problems independently/within a team. Ability to communicate clearly, and comfortable reaching out for further direction and clarity as needed. Compensation & Benefits At Geffen Mesher, we value transparency and equity in compensation. The compensation offered for this position will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to: years of relevant experience, unique or specialized skill sets, education, licensure, internal equity, and location. The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 an hour.
