Hours: part-time variable
Salary: Hourly rate: £25.25 (unqualified)* or £26.38 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay.

Plus, membership of Teachers’ Pension Scheme

• the base hourly rate is £16.29 (unqualified) / £17.02 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £25.25 (unqualified) / £26.38 (qualified) per hour.

York College is seeking an experienced Sociology Teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative Sociology team, with the role starting in September 2025.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching Sociology, ideally with experience of A Level and/or Access to HE, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
