Hydrohounds – Based in Edgeley, Stockport, Manchester – is hiring for a self-employed part-time Canine Hydrotherapist or Veterinary Physiotherapist to join our team.
We opened 2 years ago and have seen huge success and rapid growth in both Hydrotherapy & Veterinary Physiotherapy. It’s now got to a point where we need to hire more wonderful people to keep up with demand.
Why Hydrohounds?
We’re a new, innovative centre that welcomes ideas & creativity. Our dogs are our absolute priority and we need someone that will always put them first. We’re a dynamic business that is always evolving so we need staff that are happy to ride the waves of a fast-paced business that’s in high demand! As the owner, I’m needing to be more involved in the operational running of the centre, so this is a HUGE opportunity for a veterinary physiotherapist / hydrotherapist to come on board and take ownership of the hydrotherapy and treatment aspect of the business.
You will need to be:
- A registered canine hydrotherapist with experience.
Or
- A trainee canine hydrotherapist currently studying their hydrotherapy qualification.
Or
- A veterinary physiotherapist or recently graduated veterinary physiotherapist.
Or
- An animal professional looking to make a career change in to hydrotherapy and currently studying for their qualification.
Job Role Specifications:
· Have your own portfolio of beloved dogs doing a mixture of treatment or water confidence sessions.
· Confidently run Assessments of Conditions, Weight Management Assessments or Water Confidence Inductions.
· Clearly communicate our process and manage expectations of owners based on their goals and dog’s condition.
· Run affective, informative and fun treatment programmes with your portfolio of dogs.
· Communicate with your owners directly regarding appointment times & queries (during working hours of course!)
· Understand our pricing structure and put sales through our payment system or send payment links directly.
· Take on veterinary physiotherapy patients on an adhoc basis.
· Regularly post on social media via stories & reels promoting the work you do.
· Schedule sessions with owners via the Hydrohounds Calendar.
· Regularly update session & treatment notes in our CRM system – SHARC.
· Treat every dog that comes to Hydrohounds like their own, always showing empathy, understanding and love towards them.
· Have good interpersonal skills and build relationships with your owners.
· You will be responsible for a number of cleaning a maintenance tasks depending on the day(s) you work. Dogs + water = lots of mess all the time so having high standards of cleanliness is paramount.
· Manage a steady flow of insurance claims on behalf of your owners and dogs and guide them through the process.
This role will start as part-time between 20-25 hours per week (including Sundays and a few weekdays). This will be with a view to increasing the number of hours as the business grows and the owner moves in to a more operational role.
Hydrohounds is in a suburban location close to many local amenities & public transport links to Stockport so you don’t need to drive if you don’t have a license.
We offer great pay with an opportunity to grow and develop, the world really is your oyster!
